The first Time

I remember the first day I got my first bicycle.
Within an hour or so I was happily riding along the road in front of our house. Alas, a car came up behind me, blew the horn, and I fell over. Scared the driver as much as me. The good news is he stopped and waited for me to get up and out of the way.
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
I like to share things that will help you find your Art of Fulfillment.

If you don’t write your goals down, if you don’t do a Vision Board, if you don’t take time and meditate on what you want, it’s harder to move forward.

There’s a new way of thinking about being happy and fulfilled. It is for you to think about and visualize an experience you would like to have.

Everyone of us has everything we need inside of us to be great.

So do what you need to do?

I would like you to think about significant emotional events that have happened to you in the past. It’s the events that have happened in your life that changed you. For example, from the time of that first mishap on the bike, I never again had any bicycle accidents - and I rode many miles - both on country highways and city streets - between the time I was about 10 until I was 16 and got my driver's license.

I want you to think about some of your first experiences that you’ve had in your life, and you’ll realize that it was a thought first before you did it.

One was probably your first day of school. Mine is still vivid.

Some might not be able to think back that far.

There was your first step.

Your first word.

It’s based around the fact that we get excited and focused in visualizing the first time.

How about when you visualized you going to high school?

The first time you drove a car.

The first time you rode on a plane.

The first time you saw the ocean.

I remember every one of those vividly.

It all starts with the level part of your mind where we don’t know what we don’t know.

It’s not even a thought and then one day you’re riding in the car with your parents and it hits you, I want to drive, you see everyone else able to drive, so you then set a goal of a new experience for yourself.

You will not move forward in life, without you having something to look forward to.

So think about your life and the things you want to do.

Remember your first job - and the first days on that job?

Mine was selling termite control treatments to homeowners. I was hired, but not given much training. I was a green country kid.

When I made my first sale, I made so many mistakes that I had to go back to the customer SEVEN times before I got all the paperwork correct!

But I grew from there.

Can you relate to these thoughts?

The uncomfortable things you do and the fear you go through when you go on your first date, that first kiss!

It’s crazy how we can set our expectations and be excited in looking and moving forward to something that we want to experience for the first time.

The first time you took a trip out of your city, out of the state, and especially out of the country.

The first time you swam, your first vacation, your first road trip.

You may or may not have had some of those firsts. However, we each have our own firsts.

The individuals that live and love the most are always working on having many firsts.

Their first experiences.

Some of the events and experiences can be hurtful, tragic, emotionally scaring.

Some can be from blessing to blessing.

Miracle to miracle.

Victory to victory.

Related to this - and how to get to where you want to be - is the plan Jerry Seinfeld had. Seinfeld wrote about his process for learning stand-up comedy that has really helped many people create "healthy habits".

Basically, Jerry would put a calendar on the wall, and then every day that he worked on his joke writing and his routine for at least 3 hours, he would put a big, red X on the calendar.

So after a few days the big red X'sstarted to add up and when he saw thebig X's on his calendar, it made him want to keep it up.

He didn't want to "break the chain" when it came to the big red x's.

It's a simple idea, but one that's very powerful.  Why?

Because whenever you're trying to do anything to improve your health - or improve any other area of your life - it's really all about habits.

Let's say you want to start walking for 30 minutes each day.

The easiest way for this to happen is that your 30 minute walk needs to become a ROUTINE part of your day.

Just like showering, eating and brushing your teeth is.

And once it becomes a habit, you're good to go.

You won't feel any reason to bail out on it.

I've found that this works for exercising, as well as things like eating better, or even getting more sleep.

Whatever you're trying to do, the key is creating the MOMENTUM you need to keep it going.

And that means taking it one day at a time.

You can't cram 60 days of exercise into one day.

It's something you have to approach each and every day.

Like I said, this is one of those simple ideas that can make a BIG difference.

Sooo, two things to do:

1. Think about the "new experience(s)" you want to have. Make notes and reminders to help cause it to happen.

2. Develop your ROUTINE that helps you build the MOMENTUM to get there.

You CAN accomplish what you want. You CAN become the person you want to be.

Just do it! ....... Starting today.

Are you ready for a new beginning??!

Most people SAY they are ready for a new beginning, especially at the new year...
But rarely do we actually take any action to make it happen. Why?
Too often fear gets in the way.
Particularly one type of fear - Fear of Failure.
Fear of Failure Unmasked
In discussing the possibility and the potential risks and benefits of starting a new business, either online or brick and mortar, many concerns come up.
I have found that the concerns people most commonly express at the outset, “I can’t afford it” and “I don’t have the time,” generally function as smokescreens.
Each time I hear one of these responses, I think, Really
What you’re doing now has you broke and too busy to create the life of your dreams. How is that working for you?
It seems these two conditions provide perfect incentives to say “yes!” to opportunity.
Of course, I don’t actually express these observations out loud—people have to realize these things for themselves.
Nevertheless, in my 60+ years in business and thousands of discussions, I have never met anyone who was really stopped by a lack of money or time.
People get around limitations of time and money in all kinds of creative ways. I know a guy who sold his motorcycle to start a business so he could spend more time with his family.
I knew he loved that motorcycle, so I asked him why he sold it. He said, “I love my family more.”
A bit of probing often reveals that these excuses of “no money or time” hide an underlying force that most people balk at facing directly: fear of failure.
Most people will say they dream of a better life and wish they could find a real opportunity, but the paralyzing fear of failure stops countless dreamers in their tracks.
Over time I have discovered that fear of failure, in turn, conceals an even deeper concern for preserving one’s reputation.
The primary roadblock that stops people from going into business for themselves arises from a misplaced value of keeping up appearances.
If you’ve ever had a sense that a fear of failure keeps you from proceeding toward your dreams, please consider that you may not be afraid of failure as such.
Perhaps you’re afraid of looking like a loser to your friends and family. You’re afraid of not fitting in. Let’s examine that.
When you learned to ride a bike, how many times did you fail? The first day after I got my first bicycle I was riding along the road in front of our house. A car had come up behind me, the driver honked his horn, I fell over. In the middle of the road! A few days later I was riding all over - with no more mishaps.
No matter how many times you scraped and bruised yourself falling off, just like me, you kept getting back on.
Why was it okay to fail and keep going then, but not in business? Because not learning to ride a bike would make you an outcast.
All your friends would be riding past you and laughing as you walked to school. It’s all about conformity, and what matters most is what your peer group expects.
Here’s another example: When you finish second grade, you’re expected to go on to third grade.
If it looks like it might not happen, you get encouragement, special attention, maybe some discipline or tutoring. But failure is not an option. Why?
It’s simply because in your community people are expected to go from second grade to third grade.
Later on you are now in tenth grade.
Do you go on to eleventh grade? That depends. Do most of the people in your community finish high school? If most of the people finish, then that’s what’s expected of you.
This confirms every parent’s intuition:You become just like the people you hang around.
And let’s face it; the majority of your friends and family are not likely to risk their reputations to start their own business.
You can get either encouragement or DIScouragement from your family - especially parents or spouses. (You can't choose your parents, but you should choose your spouse very carefully if you value peace and ENcouragement.)
The pull of conformity is stronger than gravity. So you have to choose either to pursue your dream or to fit in with the crowd.
Sadly most people would rather spend the rest of their days complaining that they lack the time or money to enjoy life than do anything about it—if that means defying their peers’ expectations.
What would people think? What will people think of you if you fail in business? Frankly, you probably wouldn’t care what people think about you if you realized just how seldom they do.
"In order to succeed you must fail so that you know what NOT to do the next time." Anthony D'Angelo
"Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently." Henry Ford
TRUE SUCCESS DEPENDS ON YOUR ENJOYMENT
You'll never achieve real success unless you like what you're doing. What you do is more important than how much money you make.
How you feel about what you do is more important than what you do. The more you love what you're doing, the more successful it will be for you.
Don't set compensation as your goal. Find the work you like and the compensation will follow.
You don't pay the price of success, you enjoy the price of success.
ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR SUCCESS
There is no shortage of opportunity. Everyday you’re presented with countless opportunities to be, or do whatever you desire.
Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. Don’t miss out on an opportunity because you’re not prepared. Your preparation is absolutely essential.
To achieve success, you must have self discipline. You must increase your knowledge and develop your skills.
You’re always at the right place at the right time when you’re prepared.
Are you ready to make your "new beginning"?
The time to start is NOW.
It is just one month until Ground Hog Day. Soon after that, tulips and Easter will appear. Blink your eyes a couple of times and we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas again.
The year 2017 will zing by whether you make the changes you want OR NOT.
What are your plans for 2017? Have you made them yet?
It is time to get in gear.
I will be here all year with advice and help.
But only YOU can take the action you need to take.
know you can accomplish anything you set your mind to, and please understand that NOTHING IS OUTSIDE YOUR REACH.

Complainers! Or achievers! Which are you?

Bill Britt and his wife, Peggy joined Amway in 1970, ten years after the company began, and built one of the largest Amway businesses in the world.

They reached Diamond level in 1973 and Crown Ambassador in 1996. In 2004 they were recognized as Founders Crown Ambassador, one of only 14 Amway distributorships in the world to have reached that level.

Bill Britt was the oldest of eight children. His father had an alcohol problem resulting in lost jobs, lost homes, and chronic chaos for the entire family. Bill worked for tips when he was too young to be on anyone's payroll.

After serving in the Korean War, Bill earned an advanced degree in engineering, and spent the next 15 years as a city manager in various North Carolina cities.

He invested $10,000 in a "blue sky" investment scam, where he was supposed to be able to sell cars obtained at lower prices than other dealers. The entire $10,000 was lost immediately.

He and Peggy had borrowed the money for this investment, and after three years of working hard to pay it back were still in debt. They were looking for some other business which would help them, and another person who had been the victim of the same investment scam called him to offer him the Amway opportunity.

He was very careful about the Amway business. As he said in various tapes and rallies, "The night I went to see this business plan for the first time, I left my wallet in my car so I wouldn't even be tempted." He has represented over and over that he was extremely skeptical.

Whiners and Winners.

You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature story on Amway.

They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers, distributors who had failed. They showed the garages full of products they couldn't sell because THEYsaid the system was broke andblamed everything on everyone but themselves.

During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed in front of his fabulous mansion/fine cars etc.  He was asked, "Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you and has been very good for you and your family.  So what's your secret?"

He replied, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No.' and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire."

There is an Old Saying:

ALL business is a numbers game, plain and simple.

Remember that, help your people, be persistent & you WILL succeed.

COMMENT: Remember your local newscaster is a salaried employee, often a union member, for whom the concept of individual achievement - as opposed to their individual aggrandizement - is as alien to them as honesty is to a politician.

People are often surprised when the successful individual make the cut.

We should not be.

What happens most often, is there were attempts that did NOT work before the smashing success appeared. True in Bill Britt's case - the $10,000 "blue sky" investment.

The average millionaire has gone bankrupt THREE times before he or she finally made it to the top.

Please let Bill Britt's words inspire you.

Everyone who reads this message today has the possibility of becoming the NEXT Bill Britt.

In fact, I believe we have a BETTERopportunity than Bill had back in 1970.

First: Back then, to grow your organization you had to GO TOwhatever city, state, or country in which you wanted to grow your business.

With the technological developments that have happened since then make it possible forANYONE to have a worldwide downline without every leaving their home - or even a tiny apartment.

E.g. I now have people on my list from almost every state in the U.S., as well as people in every continent except Antarctica.

Second: The modern technology makes it possible for companies to give us our own back office and see - in real time - our people. Which us allows us to help our downline grow their own business rapidly. Plus, along with that we can also get paid instantly and often.

The company that is taking both those points to the max is

mypayingads.com

Mypayingads.com has during its first year laid a strong foundation that will ultimately create millionaires.
Mypayingads.com  has continually added new features that will help us grow our incomes. In fact, more incredibly exciting new products and incentives are being launched next week which are going to blow your socks off!

Back in the 1960's and 1970's Amway was a business of exponential growth where just a few people introduced a few people, who introduced a few, who introduced a few... and before you knew it, you had many thousands of people introducing a few… which are very big numbers indeed!

Mypayingads.com is the same, but with superior technology behind it. If you introduce just a few now, soon you will have many under you who are introducing a few... and on and on.

So ultimately, we are not talking about just a few people introducing a few…we are talking about a lot of people, and every one of these members will be recruiting new AP’s with packs every month…

...and when those new members join, most will want to do the same for themselves, and the people they introduce will also want to do the sameAre you getting the picture of what is about to happen here??

This would be incredibly powerful for your income if we were only paid from just one level, butwe are paid on 5 levels! Imagine what will happen to your income when all those people in your 5 levels begin to see the possibilities??!

Most people wait to see what will happen with any program.

Backwards!

The people who succeed are the ones who jump in with both feet and work hard while the masses "wait to see".

Which are you?

What you do in the next few months could make you a Bill Britt by 2020 (or sooner).

Why not take Bill's words to heart - and apply them?

He said, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No.' and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire."

All business is a numbers game. The numbers favor you if you are persistent, honest, stay in touch with your people, and stay motivated.

Only you can choose to accept the responsibility for your own situation - your own results.

How many Nos!! are you willing to hear before a Yes!! 2016

Another nice write up from James Sloan, Enjoy!!
Happy NOvember. Happy crazy election year. Happy Thanksgiving Month.
My first J.O.B. after college was as a termite control salesman.
Basically what we did in those days was cold canvassing. We would go to a likely neighborhood that might have a lot of termites in the ground. Knock on the doors and try to get the homeowner to let us make an inspection to see if they had any termite infestation.
Your sales could be approximately determined by a simple mathematical formula.
If you wanted a sale, you had to find three homes that had termites and the owner would listen to what you had to say. (Two of the three would want to get another bid, did not care about the property enough, could not afford to do it now, etc.) Basically you hear 'no' twice in order to hear one 'yes'.
To find those three people to talk with, you had to find five houses that were infested.
To find 5 infested, you needed to inspect about 15.
To inspect 15, you needed to knock on about 45 doors.
Thus you had to knock on some doors with no one home, some with only children home, some who just said no, etc.
Very simple: If you are willing to knock on 50 or so doors a day, you will average a sale a day. (And a sale a day was a good living.)
Think about it: To find that ONE sale, you need to hear people say NO 44 times! It was not always said verbally - a "not home" counts as a 'no'. An "all clear" inspection is a 'no' as far as the sale is concerned.
If a person was lazy and not willing to hear enough noes in order to get to 'yes', he or she would not eat well.
This principle is true in much of life.
For the ads on TV, newspaper, internet, or wherever, many more people say NO than YES.
Looking for romance?
You can find many, many more people that are not compatible than the few that are.
For those of us who use revshare sites, our ads are seen by hundreds or even thousands of people in order to find the ONE person who wants what you are advertising. Same thing is true if you are selling a product online.
Want to sell your old car instead of taking the small trade in allowance from the dealer? Be prepared to have dozens of people look at it before anyone says "I'll buy it."
Yet there are some things we just need to say 'NO' to. And some things we should say 'YES' to.
Just say no to the extra dessert.
Just say yes to getting off the couch and going for a walk.
Just say no to the person who wants you to participate in an illegal activity.
Just say yes when your neighbor needs a helping hand.
Just say no to all the negative campaign ads.
Just say yes to working for a couple of hours at a soup kitchen.
Just say no to your fears.
Just say yes to finding the cause and conquering it.
Just say no to negativity of all kinds.
Just say yes looking at the good things that are all around you.
Just say no to the bad habits you want to break.
Just say yes to the good alternatives.
Just say no to doing less than your best.
Because...
"Without faith, nothing is possible. With it, nothing is impossible." Mary Mcleod Bethune
Since this is Thanksgiving Month, remember...
YOU ALWAYS HAVE ENOUGH.
Your dilemma goes deeper than having a shortage of time, it’s basically a problem of priorities. Most people leave undone those things that should be done, while they do things that they shouldn’t be doing.
Set priorities for your goals. A major part of successful living lies in your ability to put first things first.
Most major goals are not achieved because people put second things first. Is what you're doing getting you closer to your objectives?
Anything that is wasted effort represents wasted time. Don’t serve time, make time serve you.
Just say no to being short of time. We each get 24 hours every day.
Just say yes to counting your blessings.
You have more than you can enumerate every day.
Enjoy all of your NOvember.

Will you have the freedom of retirement? OR - maybe not?

You need to choose wisely.

People have the idea of retirement all wrong. It is not about working 50 years, quitting your job, walking the dog and caring for the grandchildren. Nothing wrong with that, but retirement is about being free to do what you want, when you want. It should happen as early in life as possible, and it can be accomplished in a relatively short time.

All you need is a business that provides you a good income with minimal work on your part.

But before we get to that, here are some facts from an Associated Press article, titled "For some low-income workers, retirement is only a dream."

It was a striking image. A photo of an 89 year old man hunched over, struggling to push his cart with frozen treats. Fidencio Sanchez works long hours every day selling the treats because he couldn't afford to retire. The photo and his story went viral and thousands of people donated more than $384,000. for his retirement.

His story is a window into a dark reality: Many workers - especially low wage people - say they cannot afford to retire.

With no money saved for retirement, home care worker Gwen Strowbridge, 71, of Deerfield, Florida, plans to stay on the job until she can't physically work anymore.

"I can't see into the future. I'll stop working if my health won't allow me to keep working," said Strowbridge. She currently works six days a week caring for a 100 year old woman in Florida.

Studies have found that about one-third of low wage workers like this say they will never be able to afford retirement.

I don't want this type of thing to happen to you.

That is why I am asking you to think about your own priorities.

The easiest way for most of us to avoid that type of situation is to create some income that is NOTdependent on us being physically present in order to get paid.

Which basically means your own business of some kind.

When choosing the kind of business you want to create, look for a business model that can produce income far into the future based on work you do to day. Some people do it by investing in commercial real estate, some by investing in the stock market.

As you know, I choose the internet marketing business model.

Have you lost your way?

I watch many of my friends fall apart when they retire. They have worked 40 or 50 years and their lives have been defined by their jobs. When they are no longer working, they no longer have a personal identity.

Retirement gives you the opportunity to redefine you life by the things you want to accomplish. You no longer have to do what the boss wants.

Lots of retirees have trouble defining their new life. Every life should be lived with purpose.

Know what is important to you and create a team of like minded people to help you accomplish your goal. Find a mentor who shares your interests and who is successful in the niche you want to pursue. Okinawans call their group a moai, to others it is a club, a hui, a church or even a gang. In Okinawa a moai is formed by a group of parents bringing their children together to look after each other. Moais are formed for a lifetime.

Retirement was a tough time for Bill. In his working career, he was a Protection Forester for the State of Hawaii. In retirement, he was nothing. So much of our self worth is associated with our work. It took Bill 10 years to realize his life was headed in the wrong direction. He knew he wanted to help people live better lives and leave a better world to their kids.

He had been working in a hardware store selling paint. Selling paint wasn’t cutting it for Bill. He had retired early and his retirement income paid the current bills, but didn’t provide the money he needed to cover emergencies. One thing he knew was he needed to supplement his income. So he needed to do things that gave his life purpose.

But, what things?

Deciding on your purpose.

He sat down with a yellow tablet and listed what he liked to do and what he hated doing.

You can do the same thing. Here is Bill's list:

What I like.

Being out doors
Swimming and diving
Hiking and camping
Photography and videography
Helping people solve problems
Writing
Sharing my ideas with others
Working with computers to help others solve problems

What I hate.

Cooped up in an office cubicle
Commuting
Having to work at a specific location.
Most jobs
People telling me what I must do and how I must do it.
Hurting others.

It became obvious to Bill that he needed a reliable residual income of at least $2000/ month. He wanted to be outside working with conservation projects. He believes in being as resilient as possible personally, financially and globally. His values include: honesty, being helpful, loyalty, always striving for perfection, being responsible.
Whatever he chose to do it had to be consistent with his values. He decided his niche would be helping people live more resiliently. Specifically, he will provide information about creating personal and financial resilience and will help people live more sustainably on this earth.
That is much too broad a niche, so he will focus on the supplies and equipment people need to survive and recover after an emergency.
Are your priorities straight?

Don't be like Gwen or Fidencio.

There is no guarantee that anyone else will take care of you. Not a relative. Not a friend. Not a government agency.

The only way to make sure that you are going to be situated satisfactorily for your whole life is to take your situation into your own hands.

The first step is to do like Bill and do some real, serious, soul searching. Analyze accurately (and ruthlessly if necessary) where you are now.

Then, like Bill, write down what you like and what you don't like.

Finally, think about what you can do to merge your likes into what is possible such that you can be of sufficient service to other people .

If you provide sufficient service to others by following your passions, the money you need to live your desired life will arrive.

Don't let just 'retiring' be your goal.

Instead, find the freedom of retirement.

To quote James Allen one more time, "The one thing over which you have absolute control are your own thoughts." It is this that puts you in a position to control your own destiny.

Your greatest power is the power to choose.

Choose wisely.

And may God bless you in all your choices.
